Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how StayPerk handles information when people use the platform for property manuals, services, bookings, payments, communications, and support.

StayPerk uses personal and operational information only to run, secure, support, and improve the service, and to meet accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.

Information we collect

We collect account and profile details, role selections, contact information, property and manual content, service listings, booking and add-on activity, invoice and purchase records, support requests, messages, notifications, device and usage logs, and security events.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe. StayPerk stores payment status, references, receipt details, fee and commission metadata, payout state, refund state, and accounting records needed to operate the platform.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts, property manuals, QR links, service coordination, bookings, invoices, receipts, payouts, notifications, support, fraud prevention, platform security, product improvement, and required business records.

We may use operational logs and security events to diagnose problems, protect accounts, investigate abuse, and keep payment and messaging workflows reliable.

Sharing and service providers

StayPerk shares information between hosts, property managers, service providers, and guests when needed to complete platform workflows, such as publishing manuals, coordinating services, sending invoices, processing bookings, messaging, and resolving support requests.

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, database and file storage, payments, email delivery, maps, calendar connections, analytics, diagnostics, and related operations. These providers may process information only as needed to support StayPerk.

Google Calendar and connected calendars

Connecting Google Calendar is optional and requires your permission through Google. StayPerk accesses calendar events to display your calendar, identify busy periods, and check availability for services and add-ons. Event information can include identifiers, titles, descriptions, dates, times, time zones, cancellation status, and whether an event is marked free or busy. Calendar names and identifiers are used where calendar selection is available.

StayPerk stores the Google authorization credential needed to maintain the connection, the selected calendar identifier when available, synchronization status, and a cache of busy events, including event identifiers, start and end times, titles, and descriptions. This information is processed using our Google Cloud and Firebase hosting and database services. Imported events are available across the calendar views for enabled roles on your own StayPerk account. Availability checks use busy periods to determine which booking times can be offered; public availability results do not include the imported event titles or descriptions.

For service providers with Google booking synchronization configured, StayPerk uses event permissions to create booking events, update their times, and remove them following cancellation. These requests may send the service title, booking times, guest name and email, service address, and a StayPerk booking reference or link to Google. A connected account without a saved calendar selection does not enable these booking-event writes. Information written to Google is subject to that calendar's sharing settings and Google's policies.

For new paid service-provider bookings, StayPerk also creates booking events in the current property Host's connected and selected Google calendar while the Host has authorized owner access. Host events send the service title, booking times and a Host booking link, without guest contact details. Linked Host events can be updated when booking times change and removed following cancellation while the account remains authorized and connected. Connecting a calendar does not automatically export older missed bookings.

Property Managers with current authorized access to the booked property can also receive new paid service-provider booking events in their connected and selected Google calendar. These events send the service title, times and a Property Manager booking link without guest contact details. Linked events can be updated or removed following booking changes while that access and connection remain valid. Removing property access stops further synchronization but does not remove previously exported events; later assignments or connections do not automatically export older bookings.

Google Calendar data is used to provide and support these calendar, availability, and booking features. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence models. Any transfer of Google user data is limited to providing these features with your consent, permitted security purposes, applicable legal requirements, or other uses allowed by Google's Limited Use requirements. StayPerk's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

To stop the connection, open Calendar, expand Google Calendar, and choose Disconnect. This removes the saved Google authorization credential and calendar selection from StayPerk and clears the active imported Google busy-event cache. It does not delete events already in Google Calendar or cancel StayPerk bookings. You can separately revoke StayPerk's access from your Google Account's third-party connections page. For requests concerning other retained records, contact support or use the privacy request controls described below.

If you add an ICS calendar feed, StayPerk stores the feed URL and imports event times and available titles or descriptions to display your calendar and calculate availability. Treat private feed URLs as confidential. Disabling or removing a feed stops its use and removes its events from the active availability cache; it does not change events at the source calendar.

Cookies and similar technologies

Where automatic audience statistics are enabled, StayPerk counts public-page views and clicks on builder and signup links to improve the site. Only daily totals by broad page and source categories are saved; these analytics do not store IP addresses, visitor IDs, full URLs, advertising click IDs, or individual browsing histories. No analytics cookies or local-storage identifiers are created for these counts, and they are not sent to Google Analytics or advertising networks. Hosting providers still process ordinary network requests and may retain operational or security logs separately.

You can stop these aggregate counts by choosing Reject non-essential in Cookie settings. We also honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track for this collection. Optional Google Analytics and advertising tools remain subject to your separate cookie choices.

StayPerk uses essential cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, including login, security, checkout, and core app features. Optional cookies may be used for analytics, preferences, and marketing only when allowed. You can change your choices anytime from Cookie settings in the footer.

Communications

StayPerk may send transactional email and in-app notifications for account activity, service requests, bookings, invoices, receipts, payouts, support, security, and operational updates.

Users are responsible for keeping contact details accurate so important account, payment, booking, and support messages can be delivered.

Welcome Book builder activity and optional support copies

Where analytics consent permits, the builder records bounded progress and actions, such as page changes and browser download initiation, to help us understand product use. Download initiation does not confirm that a file was saved or opened. Progress records do not include your draft text, passwords, photos or QR contents. Tracking does not cover every visitor and does not reveal why someone stopped working.

Share a private copy of this PDF with support for 30 days is a separate, optional choice available without an account. Unlike redacted draft sharing, this retains the exact exported PDF, including any passwords, QR contents, photos or personal details in that file. It is stored privately for authorized support inspection, with audited access. It is not sent to advertising platforms. Copies become inaccessible after 30 days from export and are queued for daily deletion. Remove shared PDF copies from this browser revokes and deletes copies whose receipt is available in your browser; you can also contact support. Leaving this option unchecked keeps the PDF export local. Downloading and editing do not require sharing or analytics consent.

When available, Share draft with support is a separate, optional choice to send a private redacted copy for builder help. You can keep editing and downloading if you decline analytics or sharing. Sharing excludes credential fields, private or host-only blocks, uploaded images and QR payloads. Free text may still contain personal information; avoid including it in content you share. Authorized support staff can inspect permitted shared copies or account-saved versions in a read-only preview, and inspections are audited.

Stop sharing revokes the support copy and stops further updates without deleting your original draft. Optional support copies become unavailable after 30 days without updates, while detailed journey events have a 90-day default retention. These product defaults do not change account-saved project retention. A known email address alone does not permit marketing: follow-up requires a recorded applicable purpose and respects suppression choices.

Manual previews shared with businesses

StayPerk sometimes prepares a sample guest manual for a business and shares it by a private link. For each such preview, StayPerk records which pages are opened and roughly how long they stay on screen, which printed versions are opened or downloaded, which links in those printed versions are followed, and whether the manual is saved to an account. This helps us know whether the preview was useful and when to follow up.

These records are kept whatever your cookie choices. They use no cookies or stored identifiers, include no IP address or browser details, are not sent to analytics or advertising providers, and are seen only by StayPerk staff. Visits from automated link scanners are marked as such.

Guest manual visit counts

When a guest opens a published guest manual, StayPerk adds to daily totals for that manual: how many visits it had and how often each section was opened. A visit is counted once per browser tab. The host and the people who manage that property can see these totals.

These counts store no IP addresses, cookies, visitor IDs, browser details or individual browsing histories, and are not sent to analytics or advertising providers. They are not kept for the host's own previews, sample manuals or automated link scanners. You can stop them by choosing Reject non-essential in Cookie settings; we also honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track.

Guest manual translation

When a guest chooses a language in a published guest manual, the manual's text on screen is sent to Google Cloud Translation to translate it. This can include details the guest unlocked with the host's access code. Wi-Fi names and passwords, phone numbers, email addresses and addresses are not sent for translation.

Translations are stored by StayPerk, without any guest identifier, so the same text is not sent again. The guest's language choice is remembered only in their own browser.

Guest manual orders

After a guest pays for an add-on or service from a guest manual, a signed reference to that order is kept in their own browser, so the manual can show what they bought. It holds no name, email or card details.

A guest can also ask to see their orders by entering the email they paid with. StayPerk then emails a six-digit code that works for 10 minutes, and keeps only a scrambled copy of the code until it is used or expires. The form gives the same answer whether or not the email has orders, so it does not reveal who has ordered.

User controls and deletion

Users can update profile and role information in account settings where available. Users may also submit a privacy deletion request from the privacy settings area or by contacting support.

Deletion requests may not remove records that StayPerk needs to retain for accounting, payment reconciliation, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

Retention and security

StayPerk keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business and accounting records, resolve disputes, protect platform integrity, and comply with obligations.

We use access controls, authentication, service-provider safeguards, and operational monitoring to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
